We show all the live football matches on our big screen TV throughout the season and non golfers are also welcomed.

An elderly club member was standing on the 1st tee when a young guy turned up and asked if he could join him for 18 holes. They played well and came to the 5th. The young golfer had put his drive behind a 50 foot tree. Shaking his head he said aloud "I don't know whether to try going over the tree or around it. What do you think Pop?"  Thinking for a while the old guy replies "When I was your age I would have gone over it" With that the young man takes out an 8 iron, takes a full swing and watches in horror as the ball goes into the tree and falls to the ground beneath it. Looking at the older guy he says "You said that when you were my age you would have gone over the tree". "That's right" the older guys says "When I was your age the tree was only 3 foot high"
