Took up golf at the age of 13, first handicap 12, aged 16 handicap scratch was selected for England Schoolboys and was unbeaten in 6 matches.

Also represented Northumberland County men and junior teams.

Turned Professional in 1997, winning 1st ever tournament, the Lombard Trophy in Portugal, then went on to win over 150 professional tournaments/pro ams. Played European Challenge Tour 2002/03/05/07, holder of 7 course records. Former winner of NE/NW Championship, NE/NW Classic, NE/NW Order of Merit, NE/NW Player of the year, N&D Open, PGA North Region Championship, Tamsel Tour Championship.
